A little about me . . .
My husband and I, along with our 3 children, have moved 9 times in 18 years. We just may be absolutely insane! We’ve purchased homes, gutted them and completed massive renovations while living there. My hubby started his 30+ year home building career as a framer, is an amazingly talented-guy and I can’t help but walk into a space and have a vision for it’s potential. It’s just how my brain works! I jokingly refer to us as “The Dream Team.”
Over the years, in-between designing for clients, I refined my talent through designing my own personal homes. This has always been an opportunity to “push the boundaries” a bit and think outside the box, which has only made me a more creative designer. I’m constantly asked, “How do you think of this stuff?” To which, I respond, “I can’t stop myself from thinking of this stuff if I tried.”
Above all else, I’m a mom to 3 human children and 2 tiny furry ones (between you and I, my furry children are the easiest of the bunch!)
Why I love what I do . . .
You can not underestimate the importance of loving your home. It’s your corner of the world and filled with the people you love most. I understand that it’s crucial for your home to be your “quiet” in this crazy, loud world we live in and your soft place to land at the end of a long day. It’s where you track how tall your kids have grown on the wall (I have an awesome story about this, ask me!) and their hand-prints are cemented in the driveway. It’s where you make memories and prepare the recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation. Your home should tell your story. It’s a story worth telling, it’s yours. Home . . . is where your life happens.
